TRUE FAMILY

Owned and operated by the Feurtado family, Big Pete’s Treats believes in creating a legacy of quality.

Santa Cruz is where it all began. As a young man growing cannabis and baking cookies, Big Pete devoted himself to creating consistent, wonderful edibles that harness the healing power of cannabis-infused butter. After 6 years surfing and enjoying the good vibes in Hawaii, Pete returned to Santa Cruz to start his business in 2009, focused on helping people with medical cannabis.

As the legalization movement swept through the West, Big Pete realized he couldn’t handle everything on his own, so his son Pete Jr.and daughter Katie learned how to navigate the uncharted waters of a newly legal, quickly evolving industry. Big Pete’s Treats have entered contests and won awards, earning shelf space in over 100 California dispensaries. Most importantly, positive testimonials from patients affirm that Big Pete’s Treats have helped people in countless ways.

giving back to surf city

We love Santa Cruz and source our cannabis from local farmers. We believe that building a strong local economy makes our community vibrant and successful.

Santa Cruz and surfing have always had a special place in our hearts, so in an effort to keep our beloved beaches beautiful we sponsor beach clean-up days to keep our coasts clean. Way back in high school, Big Pete led a project to clean up Santa Cruz's iconic Lighthouse Field, and this spirit has continued into our efforts to encourage good works in our community. By preventing litter from getting into the Monterey Bay, we protect marine wildlife, preserve a beautiful place and connect with our environment. To date, Big Pete's Treats has mobilized volunteers to collect litter from 26th Avenue beach, Lighthouse Field, Sunny Cove, Cowell's, Twin Lakes, Highlands Park, and Seabright beaches.

Spread Good Vibes

We believe in using time-tested, potent and effective cannabutter and canna-cooconut oil recipes to infuse our cookies, the old-fashioned way. Call us crazy, but we like how it feels.

We use high-quality cannabutter infused with cannabis for a delicious flavor and potent dose of THC. The buttery texture of our cannabutter maintains softness and moisture, ensuring even distribution of cannabis throughout the batter. With only the best ingredients, our treats not only taste amazing, but also pack a powerful punch.

Both full spectrum and distillate edible infusions will certainly produce strong psychoactive effects, but you can expect more bodily involvement and a longer-lasting euphoric experience from full-spectrum delivery methods due to the complete profile of active compounds being consumed. Big Pete’s cannabutter is an optimal medium for creating powerful edible experiences not only because of the captured terpenes and flavonoids, but also due to the high natural fat content of the butter. It is usually suggested to eat something fatty with an edible to help achieve these stronger effects - with cannabutter, this step is already taken care of by the infusion method!

Our canna-coconut oil is extracted using the same methods and is vegan-friendly, gluten-free, all natural and dairy-free.

Big Pete's Methods

Full Spectrum Infusion uses the entire cannabis plant to infuse the edible and capture the full range of active compounds, including THC, CBD, minor cannabinoids, terpenes & flavonoids.

MOST OTHER EDIBLE COMPANIES

Distillate, or Isolate Infusion, is a highly refined THC extract in which the final product has been systematically stripped of all materials and compounds except one specific Cannabinoid.
